A little about me:
I was born and raised in New Philadelphia and Dover, Ohio. I Graduated from The Ohio State University in 1972 with the degree Doctor of Dental Surgery. I Moved to Winslow, AZ in 1972 to fulfill selective service obligation working as a dentist for the Indian Health Service on the Navajo Reservation from 1972 to 1974.
I moved to Flagstaff in 1974. Have been in private dental practice in Flagstaff 1975 to present.
I now live in Clarkdale, AZ where I tend to my orchard and greenhouse. I specialize in growing tomatoes.
I am a graduate of Coconino County’s first master gardener class 1991 and certified master gardener since 1991.
I have taught the vegetable gardening section for the master gardener trainee classes since 1992 and have attended and volunteered at most Arizona Highlands Garden Conferences, frequently serving as vendor coordinator.
I have been a speaker at three Arizona Highlands Garden Conferences in Payson, Prescott, and Flagstaff.
I have helped establish the Coconino Master Gardener Association in 2009 have served as its first and now current president.
I participate in most Coconino Master Gardener Association projects, such as Flagstaff Community Markets, master gardener newspaper column, Flagstaff Home and Garden Show.
I continue to present 4 to 5 gardening talks in Flagstaff per year, including a series for Friends of Flagstaff’s Future and a series for New Frontiers Marketplace.
I attended Master Gardener University at the U of A fall 2007.
